Robert Roche is a dynamic entrepreneur, civic leader, and philanthropist. With more than three decades doing business and living in Asia and the U.S., he has founded, managed, and invested in successful companies around the world, including Oak Lawn Marketing, an omni-channel brand response company in Japan; Acorn International (NYSE:ATV), a leading media and branding company in China; and Cachet Hotels & Resorts, a socially responsible hospitality company that specializes in hotel and restaurant brand development, management, and franchising services.
In the United States, his businesses and real estate interests include Sand Hollow Resort, an award-winning golf resort in Hurricane, Utah; Gallup Land Partners, a 26,000-acre development in Gallup, New Mexico, that includes the BNSF-certified Gallup Energy Logistics Park; HoKua place, a residential development in Kauai; and Redhorse Performance, a manufacturer and distributor of high-performance automotive engine components.
A dedicated civic leader and passionate philanthropist, Roche is involved extensively in non-profit organizations focused on enhancing education, improving international relations, and building strong, sustainable communities.
Roche earned his undergraduate degree in Economics and Japanese studies from Illinois State University in 1985, and his Juris Doctor degree from The University of Denver Sturm College of Law in 1988. Roche is married with three children and spends time in China, Japan, and the United States. He is fluent in Japanese and proficient in Mandarin Chinese.
